Karma

Is it real?

Oh yes.

Even if I don't believe in it?

Oui.

What is it?

We're going to do what everybody does and go straight to Wikipedia:

Karma means action, work, or deed. The term also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect, often descriptively called the principle of karma, wherein intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect): good intent and good deeds contribute to good karma and happier rebirths, while bad intent and bad deeds contribute to bad karma and bad rebirths.

Does the word rebirth make you cringe? Replace it with "births of your descendants" and see how you feel. I hardly met my Indian grandma, yet I live the consequences of every single one of her actions on a daily basis, through my mother.

Easier if you think about it that way.

The effects (of actions) can manifest instantaneously, in your lifetime, or future lifetimes (if you're cringing...do exercise above).

Ok...I'll stop womansplaining. Hey...at least it's not mansplaining!

Let me put it in my own words:

The words you say, write, and send, matter. What you do matters. What you're thinking while you're doing it matters, your intention while you're doing it matters.

All of these phenomena have innumerable effects...

through space and time.

Constanza (that's the founder), has been obsessed with karma since quite a few lifetimes ago. No wonder she founded Give Soap.

Give the Gift of Cleansing Karma.
